This Friday, the first pre-orders for the newly released iPhone 4S started to be registered. As every new Apple device raises a buzz on the market, the resellers are doing the best to attract customers and are already offering trade-in arrangements. Target is one of the retail stores interested to help customers to get rid of their older iPhone models in order to purchase a new one.
According to recent announcements, Target offers for a fully functional iPhone 4 up to $200 and for a iPhone 3GS in the similar conditions up to $120. Given that the new iPhone will not be on the shelves until 14th of October, the clients are advised to register orders in advance as ?Target is giving pre-order customers priority for the trade-in value, and isn?t guaranteeing it to sales-day walk-ins?.
The interested buyers will sign two year contracts for iPhone 4S with one of the carriers agreed by Apple: AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. Target currently has almost 1500 Target Mobile centers within its retail chain and the seller expects customers to be attracted by the trade-in deals.
The competition for iPhone 4S seems already tough and distributors try to sweeten the deal with gift certificates and special trade-in offers. On the other hand, wireless carrier that are fighting for the buyers? interest in their offer. As the prices for iPhone 4S have been announced at Apple?s event $199 (for the 16 GB iPhone 4S version), $299 (32 GB) and $399 (64 GB) carriers try to be convincing with additional benefits.
