Symptom:

If the Recording tab is missing from the CD buner Properties page, it means that Windows doesn't recognize the drive as a burner.

Resolution:

1. Open the registry editor. Start->Run->Regedit.

2. Locate the registry key

   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD Burning\Drives

3. On the right-hand side of the screen, change the Drive Type value to be either 1 for CD-R and 2 for CD-RW.

4. Close the registry editor

5. Re-open the CD burner properties window and the Recording tab should be there.
