Symptom:

When you upgrade Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition to Microsoft XP Professional, or if you try to repair Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional, you may receive the following error message:

UNREGMP2.EXE - Entry Point Not Found-
The procedure entry point getIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library msdart.dll.

If you click OK, the error message reappears. If you continue to click OK to close the error message, the message will eventually stop appearing. This typically takes between 50 and 60 clicks.

Cause:

This problem occurs when the most current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player is installed. The current version is Microsoft Windows Media Player 10.
