Instruction:
Create an Emergency Registry Disk
Step 1: Start Backup
To create an emergency repair disk containing Registry information, first start the backup utility. The backup utility is located in the Start menu under Programs>Accessories>System Tools.
Step 2: Click Emergency Repair Button
When the backup utility loads, click the Emergency Repair Disk button, you will be prompted to insert a blank formatted disk in the disk drive.
Step 3: Backup the Registry
Select the "Also backup the registry to the repair directory" check box. The backup will now start.
Step 4: Where is it?
When the process is completed, a copy of the Registry is saved in the %systemroot% epair directory. The copy of the Registry is restored when performing a system repair using the Emergency Repair Disk.
