Resolution:

This would be used when, for whatever reason, the CD is unbootable. The CD drivers would need to be pre-instlled on the DOS disk. Usually, this is the case for a bootable Windows 98 or Windows Me floppy disk.

1. Boot from a bootable dos disk.
2. At a command prompt type d: where d is the drive letter of the cd.
3. Type cd 1386
4. Type winnt
5. The manual installation should start.
