Defense Center is yet another scam which promise to protect your computer after you purchase a full version of the program. There is no full version of Defense Center, and the program is not a security tool.

DefenseCenter is a computer infection distributed by trojans and fraudulent websites. The program is masked to look like some kind of anti-spyware or anti-virus. It is capable of imitating system scan and infection alerts. Victims of Defense Center should remember that the program is malicious although it looks like a useful thing.

Defense Center is a clone of earlier rogue security products including Protection Center, Data Protection, Digital Protection and Dr. Guard. The infection is easy to spot as it generates large amounts of pop-ups. Take a look at counterfeit alerts loaded by Defense Center:
