Summary:
Removing McAfee Internet Security using this article should only be done if Add/Remove Programs does not work. Each component has to be removed separately and there are five components that need to be removed. If some components are successfully removed using Add/Remove Programs then those sections can be skipped in the remove process.
McAfee have provided tools for four of the components. There is no tool for the McAfee Internet Security component but the manual process is just a sequence of folders that need to be removed. Try the automatic tools first and only if they don't work resort to the manual process. NOTE: the Privacy Service Tool should only be used for version 4.x or 7.x. 7.x is the one provided with McAfee Internet Security 2006.
